About "She":

She-wolf was born out of love and determination; an avenue where I was able to express and work through life's wonderful and painful experiences by channeling my most inner passions and emotions into color and form.

And like this wonderful quote by Stella Adler says -"Life beats down and crushes the soul and ART reminds you that you have one" That is exactly what made the She-wolf brand exist.

Art has been the medium of my transformative and healing journey.

Therapy that includes no words but speaks loud into your soul.

Since my daughter was a little girl she had a particular obsession with wolves; with this in mind, (on top of getting every cool wolf souvenir throughout the years),  I started to learn more about them and the mysterious and powerful symbol of guardianship, ritual, loyalty, and spirit that they represent.

Wolves have the ability to make quick and strong emotional attachments, and often need to trust their own instincts.

Thus they teach us to do the same, to trust our hearts and minds.

Skull

I decided to paint this skull because it was about to be Halloween. As a kid, I was never allowed to celebrate anything that involved this holiday, So I never liked skulls because of what I was told they represented.  Today, I have a totally different view; I find them fascinating. For me, they represent the intricate solid structure of a person, where the soul and spirit lives. The shell, the physical human structure that contains millions of years of history and the intricate design that in conjunction with the other systems makes a human being. With that, I guess I have to agree that they remind us that in physical death,  without a heart -the bones are the ones that remain.

You use works of art to see your soul."

SUNDAY

Perfect space of time to rest and creat. I noticed that the introvert in me needs a full day to recharge and be. Helps with my mental health and sets the tone for the week.

INSPIRATION

I love the landscapes that teach me that color is eternal, that make you feel and help you inspire yourself and increase creativity. He watched the pink clouds until Sunday comes again.

Creativity

This little piece was a fun one. I kept watching videos on my feed about creating art pieces by pouring paint. I have never done it and decided to give it a try. I have a young daughter and it was a fun project to do together.  We mixed some paint with a medium and we had fun watching it create a design of its own.  This is a reminder to not get stuck in our routines and ways of doing things. Creativity thrives in the moment of experimenting and enjoying making art without any expectation of the outcome.

Healing

Sometimes you just have to let go of emotions. Do something that doesn't require much planning or set up or time. This untitled piece was a fast articulation of what I was feeling. Sometimes with me, it is like that. I just need a white surface to just transmit what is going on inside me. Art, as I have expressed before has been therapy for me. The emotion that puts pressure on the inside needs to be embodied and painting has been the channel to relieve the emotional pressure that sometimes clogs my soul. Not my favorite, not great but healing.

La Croix

I am officially addicted to sparkling water, so I'm not gonna say how many of these cans lay around my house. La Croix has been part of my bubbly water addiction fix since the beginning so, therefore, a colorful inspiration for a  fun painting. Acrylic on canvas.
